Koghan – Gha Zones _ Energy Centers

To generate the kundalini Shakti or Min Zin energy, it is necessary to first prepare the three triangles created by the nine Gha zones shown in the picture above. The postures in the Hanthawaddy series are designed to activate all three triangles by working the correct alignment with proper breathing.

Once all three triangles created by the nine Gha zones are properly prepared and they can handle the movement of these psychic Lifeforce currents, then the intensity created by the Bandhas can be used to begin the movement of energy from the bottom of the spine to the top.

When they say that the kundalini serpent needs to be awakened from the base of the spine and work its way up this is what they are talking about.

Dhanda

The staff enhances alignment and helps maintain a central axis, allowing even twists through the spine. This wringing action activates all the muscles along the spine, including the abdominals, which helps squeeze out stale air and massage the internal organs. The coiling serpent series, which inspired the AMA symbol (a serpent coiling around a staff), is part of this practice.

Longi

Longi Yoga is crucial because it not only activates the spine through Zones 7, 8, and 9, but also pushes energy out into the palms, fingers, soles of the feet, and toes. It covers all essential functions and serves as excellent training for developing not only physical strength but also the pathways for psychic currents and Min Zin energy.

Hanthawaddy

Correct postures will energize the chakras. If the posture is done incorrectly, you won’t have synchronization. Inhale to center, set three specific triggers, and exhale on the twist or bend away from center. Since Hanthawaddy Yoga has its origin in the ancient Hatha Yoga system, any movement in one direction from center is balanced by a movement in the opposite direction. Simplicity of motion is the goal.

Min Zin

The movement of the Min Zin energy system relates to the Zones and pathways of the Koghan system. As we become aware of the muscles we use in proper breathing, we also become conscious of the energy that arises When we focus on breathing, the mind calms down. As the mind calms down, the body relaxes, as the body relaxes the breath becomes deeper and so on. We become more aware of how mind, breath, and body affect each other. This calms the emotions, which disturb the mind, and raises our awareness. We can then hear our pulses and feel the healing currents. This technique is used to “Spirit the Dhanda” or staff before doing Dhanda Yoga.

The Archer

For the archer, we will be using the specific breath pattern and Min Zin pattern listed below. On the exhale, the energy is generated from Gha Zone 8 in between the shoulder blades through the shoulders, elbows, wrist, and through the palms, index fingers, and thumbs

As mentioned before there are 9 major Gha Zones. Some of the minor Gha zones are in the palms and fingers, soles of the feet and toes. Here we are taking the energy into the Gha Zones in the palms, index fingers, and thumbs.
